Premier League club Burnley taken over by American investors

American investors also own Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Liverpool and Manchester United.

Burnley is the newest American-owned Premier League club.

Velocity Sports Partners, the sports investment arm of ALK Capital, has acquired an 84% stake in the north-west English club.

Alan Pace, Managing Partner of ALK, will chair the team based north of Manchester. He was previously CEO of the Real Salt Lake major league soccer team.

American investors also own Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Liverpool and Manchester United.
