Prime Minister hands over indigenous Arjun tank to Army

Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed over the state-of-the-art indigenous main tank Arjun Mk1A to the army on Sunday. Chief of Staff Manoj Mukund Naravane received the tank for the Army at an event at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium here.

The Arjun Mk-1A was designed by the locals by the Chennai-based Combat Vehicle Research and Development Facility (CVRDE), a unit of the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), along with 15 academic institutions, eight laboratories and several MSMEs , developed and manufactured.
